Bill McEachern, Director
Bill McEachern's distinguished career in soccer spans over 25 years. From winning medals in the Bay State Games to playing semi-pro in the New England LASA League, each experience has allowed Coach McEachern to develop an understanding of what it takes to be a successful player.

Beginning in Weymouth Youth Soccer's inaugural season in 1978, his talent was recognized immediately, selected to play for Weymouth's first travel team. His achievements continued at Weymouth North High School where he played on the varsity team for all four years, two years as captain. Bill's honors playing for Weymouth North included Team MVP, Old Colony League All-Star, Eastern Massachusetts All-Star, and Patriot Ledger All-Star. Not only acknowledged for his merits on the field, Bill was recognized as the "Most Cooperative Athlete" at Weymouth North High School.

As a varsity player for his four years at Springfield College, Bill's accomplishments continued to accrue, including three New England titles and an ECAC championship. Upon his final season as a senior at Springfield in 1992, he was awarded the Ohanisan Trophy for courage, determination and leadership.
Springfield College Pride While still playing with the Over-the-Hill League, Bill has focused on coaching and directing camps for the last 15 years. After coaching the Braintree High School Boys' team for 13 years, Bill has taken over the Boys' program at Weymouth High School. In his first year he lead the Wildcats to the Eastern Mass finals and was named Boston Globe Head Coach of the year. He is hoping to bring this year's team back to the Division I MIAA State Tournament and vie for a state title. In the off-season Bill works as a clinician for Weymouth Travel Soccer, and coaches a travel team in his home town of Duxbury.
Always seeking to perfect his methods, Coach McEachern frequently attends coaching clinics and conferences as a member of the EMSCA and the NSCA. He suggests that, "Just like any great player does, a coach must always look to improve."

As one of the founders of Advantage Soccer, Bill looks forward to another rewarding season with his staff and campers.
